Missing CRPF Jawan Found Hanging In Odisha’s Balangir, Family Alleges Murder

Balangir, May 18: A Central Reserve Police Force jawan, who went missing on May 16, was found hanging from a tree in Ghasian village under Larambha police limits in Balangir district early this morning.
The deceased jawan has been identified as Bhaktaram Bhoi, son of Durllabh Bhoi.
According to reports, Bhaktaram, who was reportedly on leave from his posting in Jharkhand, had gone missing on the 16th of this month after receiving a phone call while departing for his workplace.
Following the incident, family members launched a frantic search. Unable to trace him, his family lodged a missing complaint at the local police station.
However, his body was found hanging from a tree early this morning.
Upon seeing Bhaktaram’s hanging body, locals immediately informed his family members. Later, police reached the spot and seized the body for post-mortem.
On the other hand, the victim's father, Durllabh Bhoi, has claimed that Bhaktaram had previously received threats over a romantic relationship, suggesting this may have been a planned killing. Authorities are expected to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
