Bargarh, May 17: The days of misrule and corruption are numbered in Odisha. People have decided to oust the inept BJD government and bless the BJP to form a government in Odisha this time.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan asserted this while holding a mega roadshow at Bargarh today. 

He also addressed 'Bijay Sankalpa Samavesh' at many other places in the district. 

Addressing such a gathering, Union Minister Pradhan canvassed for BJP's Bargarh MP candidate Pradip Purohit and Atabira MLA candidate Nihar Ranjan Mahananda. 

"If BJP is voted to power, farmers will benefit. FCI will procure all paddy from farmers of Bargarh. Mandis (Paddy procurement centers) will be modernized. Paddy will be procured at MSP of Rs 3,100. There will be no Katnaichhatni (deduction) at all," Pradhan told the gathering. 

He slammed the Odisha government for 'failing' to provide piped drinking water to households despite Rs 10,000 crore given to Odisha by the Modi government. He alleged that the 'corrupt' Odisha government has misappropriated the funds provided by the Modi government. 

"Despite monetary support of Rs 10,000 provided by the Modi government, families in Bargarh, and Atabira are not getting potable drinking water. Funds provided by the Centre has been misappropriated. People will give a right reply by way of votes this time," said Pradhan. 

Pradhan also addressed a massive 'Bijay Sankalp Samavesh' at Gaisilet and canvassed for Purohit and MLA candidate Sanat Gadatia. 

"The Chief Minister has betrayed the people of Bijepur. He had promised to take responsibility for the development of Bijepur in the last election. Was the promise executed by him," wanted to know Pradhan. 

He said Odisha people's trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be reflected in Parliamentary and Assembly elections this time. "Who is the PM candidate of Biju Janata Dal? Will they make it clear," Pradhan asked and claimed that Odisha people will bless the BJP with all 21 Lok Sabha seats this time. 

Addressing a huge gathering at Padmapur, the Union Minister urged people to vote for MP candidate Purohit and MLA candidate Gobardhan Bhoi. 

He claimed that the Prime Minister has always prioritized the development of women, youth, the poor, and farmers. Modi understands the sufferings of poor people as he has come from a poor family, said Pradhan. 

Besides, Pradhan also addressed a Vijay Sankalpa Samavesh at Bhatli under the Bargarh Parliamentary constituency. He canvassed for Purohit and MLA candidate Irasis Acharya here. 

On the occasion, Pradhan slammed the Chief Minister for not giving a bonus of Rs 100 per quintal of paddy even though he had promised it way back in 2-013.
