Mayurbhanj, Mar 14: Some unidentified miscreants killed a youth by slitting his throat with a sharp weapon at his house in forest colony under Bhanjpur police station limits in Mayurbhanj's Baripada.

The victim, identified as Snehasis Panda was admitted to PRM Medical College & Hospital in critical condition. However, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

On getting information, police reached the spot and launched an investigation into the incident.

While the exact reason is yet to be ascertained, police suspect past enmity behind the murder of the youth.
