Bhubaneswar, Apr 1: Thomas Craig Seldon, a tourist from the United Kingdom who attacked police and servitors in Puri Shrimandir recently, is now undergoing treatment for deep injuries in the head at the All India Institue of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here.
The Puri police are in touch with the UK Embassy in India over Seldon's bad attitude and behavior and will take appropriate steps soon, said Puri police.
According to the information, the UK tourist was in an inebriated condition when he entered a fracas with Shree Jagannath Temple police and servitors two days back.
Earlier, he had brawled with people at the Swargadwar. Police detained him at the Sea Beach police station. The tourist was staying in the Baliapanda Ashram. On being informed, the manager of the Ashram came to the police station and took him along after submitting an undertaking with the police.

✨Later, he came to the Shrimandir and attacked police and servitors at Beheran Dwar. From there, police took him to the Town PS for questioning. However, he rampaged a door glass there for which he received severe injuries in his head.
He was taken to Puri DHH yesterday. He was shifted to the AIIMS, Bhubaneswar today.
