Cuttack, Feb 10: A standard eight student was abducted and raped by a fellow villager in Itamunduli village of Haladia Gram Panchayat under Bhadreswar police station limits in Cuttack district on Thursday. 

The miscreant has been identified as Prakash Mallick of the same village. 

The girl's mother has lodged a complaint in this regard on Friday. 

Based on the report, Police arrested the accused from his house under the POSCO Act and court forwarded him.
