Kandhamal, Sep 17: Five days after a minor girl was allegedly abducted from outside her home, police are yet to trace her whereabouts. Soon after the incident came to light, a high-level investigation was launched.
As a part of the probe, DIG Pinak Mishra today visited the victim's house in Radhanathpur Adia village under Chandamani marine police limits of Basudevpur block in Bhadrak district and met the family.
Accompanied by Bhadrak SP Manoj Raut, Bhadrak Sadar SDPO Bichitrananda Sethi, and Inspectors-in-Charge from four police stations, the DIG conducted a detailed inquiry and assured the family that efforts are underway to locate the girl and bring her home safely.
Despite intensive search operations, no concrete clue has emerged so far.
Police sources confirmed that surveillance footage and mobile data are being analysed, and multiple teams have been deployed to trace the suspects.
Authorities have urged the public to come forward with any information that could assist in the search.
Notably, on September 13, some unidentified miscreants abducted the 8-year-old victim from outside her residence.
