Bhubaneswar, Sep 5: A minor boy, who accidentally slipped into the canal near Daruthenga village while taking bath, was rescued after nearly an hour.
According to reports, a group of eight students had gone to the canal to take bath this morning. Meanwhile, the victim, identified as Prakash Sethy, slipped into deep waters and began to drown. Immediately an alarm was raised, prompting a swift response from the Chandrasekharpur Fire Services team.
After nearly an hour of search operation, the team successfully rescued the minor.
