Bhubaneswar, Mar 26: Odisha will witness a rise in temperature by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius from March 29, predicted the India Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar. 

The weather office also forecasted that the mercury will rise further from the first week of Apri. The weather will remain dry. 

The temperature will rise by the impact of the western storm soon. The State will experience more-than-normal temperatures in the coming week, said the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar.

The regional weather office said temperature measuring 35 to 37 degrees Celsius may prevail in the coastal areas, whereas it will be recorded between 35 and 39 degrees Celsius in the interior parts of the State. The temperature is expected to rise further to about 40 degrees Celsius in the following three days. 

The weather office also predicted light rains to occur at very few places after March 31.
