Bhubaneswar, Mar 6: Odisha saw a significant rise in daytime temperatures over the past few days and it may rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius at one or two places across the State, predicted the weather department.
However, night temperatures are likely to remain stable over the next 4-5 days.
According to reports, Jharsuguda in Odisha recorded the highest temperature at 39 degree Celsius followed by Boudh at 38.5 degree Celsius, Malkangiri at 38.4 degree Celsius, Bhubaneswar at 36.4 degree Celsius, and Cuttack at 34.6 degree Celsius.
In the year 2024, the temperature had rose to 39 degree Celsius at some places across the State.
The weather agency further stated that the day temperature is expected to be above normal from March to May.
