Mayurbhanj, Dec 20: Pradeep Rana of Hooghly village in the Kanthi area of East Midnapore district in West Bengal had given up hopes of finding his lost wife until he got a call on Monday.

Miraculously, the caller, Himanshu Mahanta of Badajambani village in Morada block of Mayurbhanj district, informed him about his lost wife. 

A wave of happiness spread amongst the family members and Pradeep soon set out for Mayurbhanj to bring home his lost wife. 

"I saw a woman sitting on the stairs of a temple around 10 pm on December 15. I enquired and got to know that she had lost her way home. I took her to my house and tried to contact her family members," said Himanshu, a social worker. 

Himanshu somehow contacted her husband, who then arrived in Mayurbhanj to take his wife. 

Himanshu has garnered praises from the locals for his gesture of humanity.
