Udala, Feb 25: A differently-abled girl was allegedly assaulted inside the school premises. The incident was reported at Bhimatali High School under Udala police limits.
The victim has been identified as Rachana Behera, daughter of Jugala Behera of Madanapala village.
According to reports, she had gone to the school with some of her friends. The victim, who is mentally retarded, vomited and peed inside the school premises due to some reason.

✨Following this, some students of class IX asked her to clean the mess. As she was not able to do so, the students beat her with sticks, injuring the victim critically.
Taking note of the incident, family members of the victim lodged a complaint with Udala police. More details are awaited as the investigation is underway.
