Udala, Mar 1: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today laid foundation stone for 106 projects worth Rs 375 crore in Mayurbhanj's Udala.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of a temple and a community centre for the Bathudi community.
Inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of projects in the 'Bikasha Pathe Mayurbhanj' programme held at Patpur area of Udala, the Chief Minister said the inauguration of 52 projects with an investment of about Rs 100 crore and laying of foundation stone of 106 projects with an investment of about Rs 275 crore by the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department for Kaptipada subdivision of Mayurbhanj is a matter of pride. It will add a new dimension to the development of the state.
The projects include anganwadi centres, water body upgradation, public service centres, public health centres, cooperative societies, among others.
In his speech, the Chief Minister said, "Our state is on the journey of a new development path. For the last two and a half decades, a kind of hypocrisy was going on in the name of development. But, today your government has done many development works for the betterment of the people which includes Godabarish Mishra Adarsh Prathamik Vidyalaya Yojana, Madho Singh Scholarship Scheme, Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, New Education Policy, etc.
This year, new schemes like Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana, Jagannath Darshan Seva, Model Mandi have been envisaged. Today, all the members of the cabinet and elected representatives, including the Chief Minister, are directly listening to the grievances of the people and trying to redress them. We are conducting public hearings in the state capital Bhubaneswar. "We are committed to holding such hearings in various parts of the state in the future," "he said."
"He added," "Our efforts are on to build a prosperous Odisha by 2036." Mayurbhanj will also have a special role in fulfilling this great goal of the country and the state. He called for building bridges of trust together in the spirit of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas to make that dream a reality.
During the programme, the Chief Minister along with Minister Shri Naik, all the MPs, MLAs, officials and people present there offered one-minute silence for the departed soul of Mayurbhanj and legendary Odia cine actor Late Uttam Mohanty.
