Bhubaneswar, Apr 8: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Chairman, Srikant Tarai, has announced that matriculation exam results are likely to be released in the second week of May.

The evaluation of answer sheets, which began on March 19, is set to be completed within a day or two, slightly delayed due to the concurrent conduction of other board examinations.

Tarai said that this year marks a technological success as AI cameras were used and QR codes had been embedded in question papers ensuring smooth examination management. The board confirmed there were no complaints from any exam centre regarding this innovative approach.

Speaking about the issue surrounding the Science question paper, Tarai said that there won’t be any issue due to the reduced 4-mark questions. Decisions regarding gross marks are being made by the examination management committee.

With precision and care, the board prioritises the smooth processing of results to avoid causing any issues for the students. Tarai assured that all measures are being taken to ensure the timely and hassle-free release of results while safeguarding fairness and transparency.

The evaluation had started in 57 centres across Odisha. The BSE had assigned over 12,300 teachers for the task.

Notably, more than five lakh students appeared for the matriculation exams conducted by the BSE Odisha this year. The exams were held across 3,133 centres across the state, with the exam time being scheduled from 9 am to 11.30 am for each subject.
