Nayagarh, Dec 30: As many as 10 houses caught fire in Parbatipur village under Bhapur block in Nayagarh district late on Friday night.

According to information, a fire broke out in one Prakash Behera's house and in no time spread in the neighbouring nine houses. 

The fire was so massive that it took more than two hours for the fire brigade to bring the fire under control. 

As per estimates, properties worth Rs 10 lakh and more got engulfed in the fire.

However, the exact reason behind the fire break is not unknown. A fire personnel confirmed that no gas cylinder has burst.
