Berhampur, Nov 4: A married woman reportedly died after she set herself ablaze by pouring petrol in Jayanagar area. The woman is identified as Bijayalakshmi Gouda. 

Gouda had come to visit her paternal house. She was married in Bhagabanpur village under Sorada police station (PS) in Ganjam district for the past three years. She has one and a half year old son. 

According to information, when no one was at home, she set herself on fire. Her father was out for grazing goat and her brother and mother had done to the dispensary. She sent her son to a relative's house in the same area.    
She used the petrol stored in her house for fuelling the pump. However, the reasons behind committing suicide is unclear. 

Sorada police officials reached the spot and has rescued her half-burnt dead body. Investigations in this regard is underway.
