Bhubaneswar, Apr 9: Manoj Kumar Parida, a 1986 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the new Chief Information Commissioner of Odisha.
Along with Parida, three others-- retired IPS officer Pranabindu Acharya, senior advocate of Orissa High Court Kalpana Pattnaik, and retired IAS officer Pabitra Mandal have been named as the members of the Commission.
With its newly established team, the Odisha Information Commission is set to strengthen the Right to Information (RTI) framework across the state. This initiative aims to enhance responsiveness and efficiency in resolving information-related grievances and appeals, fostering greater transparency and accountability.
