Manhunt Ends: On Run For 9 Years, Wanted Murder Accused Nabbed From Jatni

Berhampur, Apr 15: In a dramatic turn of events, Berhampur Police have revealed that a 38-year-old man, who was wanted for his involvement in multiple crimes including a murder cases in 2016 has been apprehended from his hideout late Monday in Jatni area.
According to police official, the accused identified as, Satish Kumar Mishra alias Mauja Mishra, had been evading arrest since 2016, when he was linked to several high-profile criminal cases, including the sensational murder of Shanti Mishra in Gosaninuagaon and an attempt on the life of former mayor, Pintu Dash.
Acting on reliable inputs about the presence of the accused, a special team was formed under the directives of Berhampur SP. The team led by Smruti Prabha Pradhan, Inspector-in-Charge of Gosaninuagaon Police Station conducted a raid and successfully arrested Mishra from his hideout.
The accused was absconding since 2016 after jumping bail, said a senior police official.
Despite repeated directives, previous attempts to detain Mishra fell short. However, the recent capture marks a significant achievement for the local authorities, highlighting their commitment to ensuring justice and maintaining law and order.
Reportedly, Mishra has been taken into custody and further probe into the incident is underway.
