Mayurbhanj, Mar 9: A person was killed after he was allegedly attacked with a sharp weapon over a petty issue at Luhakani village under Bisoi police limits in Mayurbhanj district.
The deceased has been identified as Lakshman Nayak, son of Pradip Nayak.
According to reports, the incident took place during a village feast after an argument ensued between Lakshman and accused Bhagyaban Behera over an issue. The situation took an ugly turn after Bhagyaban in a fit of rage attacked Lakshman with a sharp weapon leaving him critically injured.

Following the incident, family members of the deceased lodged an FIR with Bisoi police. Taking note of the report, police along with scientific team reached the spot and launched a probe.
Reportedly, the accused has been arrested and further investigation into the matter is underway.
