Jajpur, May 31: Jajpur POCSO Court convicted accused Seikh Mohit from Balasore to life imprisonment for the rape and murder of a minor girl.

The court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000, ordering the convict to pay the amount or face additional jail time.

The verdict was delivered by Jajpur Special POCSO Court-2, marking a significant step in ensuring justice for the victim.

The case had drawn widespread attention due to its heinous nature, and the ruling reinforces strict legal action against crimes against minors.
