Gajapati, Jun 10: A tragic domestic dispute turned fatal in Gaiba village, under Seranga Police Station, where a husband allegedly killed his wife and later died by suicide.

The deceased, identified as, Narendra Paik and Monika, had a love marriage, but tensions in their relationship had reportedly worsened after Narendra returned home from Hyderabad, where he was working as a labourer.

Authorities revealed that early in the morning, Narendra killed Monika after slitting her throat inside their home and then fled away. Later in the evening, Narendra was found hanging in a nearby forest.

Following this, family members informed the police, who then reached the spot and initiated a probe into the incident.

Gajapati SP confirmed that two cases have been registered and an investigation is underway to determine the motive behind the tragedy.
