Rayagada, Aug 15: A business man sustained critical injuries after he was brutally attacked at Tumbiguda Chhak under the jurisdiction of Town Police Station in Rayagada district.

The incident, which occurred late Thursday evening, is suspected to be the result of a longstanding personal dispute.

According to reports, the victim, identified as Pramod Agrawal, was on his way when some assailants attacked him with a sharp weapon before fleeing the scene. Following the attack, he sustained severe injuries.

Pramod was immediately rescued and rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment for serious injuries.

On the other hand, police have registered a case and initiated a probe into the incident.

A manhunt has also been launched to apprehend the suspect.
