Bhadrak, Jul 15: A man and his three-year-old nephew were electrocuted to death after they accidentally came in contact with a live electric wire at Daisinghi Adivasi Sahi under Bhadrak block.

According to reports, the three-year-old, identified as Naba Munda, was playing near the house when he accidentally came in contact with a live wire. In a desperate attempt to save him, his uncle Nidhi Munda rushed to his help but was also electrocuted instantly.

Soon after the incident, locals rushed to their help and disconnected the power supply. They were immediately rushed to Bhadrak Medical College, where doctors declared them brought dead.

The incident has sparked grief and outrage in the community, with villagers demanding accountability from the electricity department for the presence of exposed wires in residential areas.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case and initiated a probe into the incident.
