Sundergarh, Jul 2: In a significant breakthrough, security forces uncovered and foiled a major Maoist plot near the Odisha-Jharkhand border, in the dense Saranda forest of Koida block in Sundergarh district.

The seizure comes amid rising concerns over Maoist activity in the Kolhan region and follows an earlier incident on the 28th of last month, where explosives were reportedly looted from a stone quarry.
While this seizure has possibly averted a major catastrophe, officials are on alert.
