Bhubaneswar, Dec 6: Rain continued to occur in the southern districts by the impact of Cyclone Michaung that hit the south coast two days back.

The cyclone has weakened into a depression and is likely to weaken further in the next six hours, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Reports said paddy plants and crops may be damaged due to the stagnation of water caused by incessant rains in the districts of Ganjam and Gajapati.  In many parts, farmers had cut the paddy plants before the cyclone.
