Keonjhar, Apr 1: As the 89th Chaiti Festival of Maa Tarini approaches, Keonjhar's Ghatgaon, the abode of the goddess, is set to celebrate this annual spiritual extravaganza. The temple administration and local authorities have made all efforts to ensure a smooth festival and welcome thousands of devotees.

The week-long festival will feature various cultural activities, including hymns, devotional discourses, and traditional dances. Maa Tarini's appearance in her Suna Besha (Golden Attire) for seven long days is likely to attract devotees from far and wide. It is believed that the wishes of devotees are fulfilled on seeing Maa Tarini in Suna Besha.

To ensure smooth celebrations, authorities have made extensive arrangements for crowd management, security, and traffic control. Temporary health centers and tarpaulin shelters have been set up to address any emergencies and provide relief from the summer heat. For enhanced security, the premises are equipped with CCTV cameras and a strong police presence.

The Chaiti Festival holds immense significance as devotees from across the state gather to seek blessings of the goddess, relish the traditional Prasad, and experience the vibrant display of Odisha’s rich cultural heritage.
