Bhubaneswar, Nov 13: The Bhubaneswar India Meteorological Department (IMD) has informed that the upper air cyclonic circulation over South Andaman Sea extending upto middle tropospheric levels tilting southwestwards with height. Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to form over Southeast Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a depression over Westcentral Bay of Bengal around 16th November, 2023.

Due to the low pressure, some districts of Odisha are likkely to witness rainfall and the IMD has also issued yellow warning.

Light to moderate rain/ thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Puri, Jagatsinghpur & at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Khurda, Cuttack & dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha

Day 2

Light to moderate rain/ thundershower very likely to occur at many places places over the districts of Ganjam, Khurda, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Bhadrak & at a few places over the rest districts of Coastal Odisha ,Mayurbhanj, Rayagada, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal & at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Angul, Boudh, Malkangiri,Koraput & dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Cuttack also Thunderstorm with lightening very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj.

Light to moderate rain/ thundershower very likely to occur at many places places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar & at a few places over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Angul, Puri & at one or two places over the districts of Boudh, Sundargarh, Ganjam, Deogarh, Khurda, Nayagarh & dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
