Bhubaneswar, July 24: A low-pressure area has developed and is likely to intensify further into a well-marked low-pressure system in the next 24 hours, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Under its influence, several districts across the state is likely to experience widespread rainfall, with thunderstorms and wind speeds reaching 30–40 kmph.
Districts such as Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Koraput, and Malkangiri have been placed under orange and yellow warnings, indicating the potential for heavy to very heavy showers.
The IMD has also advised fishermen to avoid venturing into the sea from July 24 to 27, as rough conditions are expected along the Odisha coast.
