This system is likely to move in a west-northwesterly direction, affecting northern Odisha, West Bengal, and Jharkhand over the coming days.
As a result, intense rainfall is expected across coastal and northern Odisha, prompting the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to issue a red alert for four districts today: Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Keonjhar, and Sundargarh. These areas are likely to experience extremely heavy downpours.
