Salepur, Apr 15: A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Bhatapada village, Salepur, as a young woman, Sagarika Bhoi, allegedly took her own life due to personal distress linked to her romantic relationship. The tragedy has left the local community in shock.

According to reports, Sagarika, daughter of Chittaranjan Bhoi, was in a relationship with Prashant Bhoi, a resident of Pirabazar under Jagatpur police station. Sources suggest that an intense phone conversation between the two led to emotional turmoil, prompting Sagarika to take the drastic step. She was found hanging in her home.

Her family has alleged that the distressing exchange with Prashant was the trigger for her suicide. Upon discovery, she was rushed to Salepur Medical Centre, where doctors declared her dead.

The police have since taken custody of the body and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

Authorities are examining the nature of the relationship and the events leading up to the tragedy. The incident has sparked discussions on mental health awareness and the emotional struggles faced by young individuals in relationships.
