Puri, Jul 4: With the sacred Rath Yatra nearing its culmination, Lord Jagannath and His Siblings, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhara will make their divine return to the Shree Mandir tomorrow on Dashami Tithi in the revered ritual of Niladri Bije.
Today marks the last opportunity for devotees to witness the darshan of Holy Trinity at Adapa Mandap inside Gundicha Temple, concluding the annual stay of the nine-day festival.
Preparations are now underway for the ceremonial return journey —“Niladri Bije”— scheduled for Dashami Tithi (the tenth day). On this auspicious day, Lord Jagannath, along with siblings Balabhadra and Subhadra, will return to the sanctum of the Jagannath Temple, bringing the nine-day festival to its spiritual finale.
In view of the rituals and strict procedures observed ahead of Niladri Bije, the temple administration has announced the suspension of public entry through the Singhadwara (Lion's Gate) of Gundicha Temple starting from 6 PM this evening.
The restriction is aimed at ensuring smooth conduct of the “Sandhya Darshan” rituals and facilitating final preparations for the return journey of the deities.
Crowds gathered with devotion and reverence to bid farewell to Mahaprabhu during this last public viewing of the year at Adapa Mandap, carrying prayers and blessings back to the main shrine of Puri.
