Bhadrak, Jul 7: In a devastating incident, two brothers lost their lives after being struck by lightning while working in their farmfield at Chandi Sahi village under Tihidi block in Bhadrak district.

According to reports, the incident occurred when the brothers were reportedly engaged in agricultural activities. Meanwhile, the lightning struck the brothers, killing them on the spot. Another person, who was also present near the field, sustained serious injuries.

The injured was immediately rescued and is currently undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital.

Local administration officials have visited the area and extended condolences to the bereaved families. Relief measures and compensation are expected as per the state disaster guidelines.
