Let's Resolve Not To Do Jobs But to Provide Employment By 2036: Dharmendra Pradhan

Bhubaneswar, Nov 24: We will lead the world by harnessing the skills of the hardworking and intelligent Odia children. While Odisha is nearing the completion of 100 years of its formation on language basis, we should resolve to give employment to others instead of getting jobs.
Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan called upon all in this regard while laying the foundation stone of National Skill Training Institute (NSTI Plus), Bhubaneswar, at Jatni Padanpur in Khurda district today.
The Union Minister said that this campus will be established by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship on an area of about 8 acres of land at a cost of more than Rs 90 crore. Students are studying in a total of 524 ITIs in Odisha, including Government of India institutions. NSTI Plus will partner to provide state-of-the-art training to ITI teachers. An ITI will also be functional here under the direct supervision of the Government of India. Boys and girls will be trained to become entrepreneurs.
National institutes like the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Center for Skill Development (SDI), AIIMS, and Food and Mouth are located here. Besides, two to three skill training institutes of the Government of India are also operating here. This institute (NSTI Plus) will empower our youth with the necessary skills and knowledge and encourage them to provide jobs instead of jobs, the Union Minister said.
Pradhan said, that at present, children should instill in them a mentality not to do jobs but to give jobs. A monument like Konark should be built, he opined.

Today, out of 4.80 lakh population in Odisha, 2.51 lakh are in the age group of 15 to 59 years. We have to create an ecosystem to skill, re-skill and up-skill people of these groups," Pradhan said.
Odisha has a 450-km-long beach and abundant mineral and forest resources. The Modi government has no shortage of money for the development of Odisha. But Odia people need to be accomplished and Odia youth need to be self-sufficient.
"In 2036, Odisha will complete 100 years of independence as a linguistic State and India will complete 100 years of independence in 2047. Therefore, the next 13 years and 25 years are important for us. India will be developed if Odisha is developed. The Government of India, the State Government, Industries and Educational Institutions should together support Odia boys and girls to be self-sufficient," said Pradhan.
He hoped that the NSTI (Plus), for which foundation-stone was laid today, would work as a 'Gurikula' for the poor and common children.
