Balasore, June 9: A leopard was on loose in Gada village in Nayakhandi Panchayat under Khaira block of Balasore district inflicting serious injuries on five persons.
The injured people were first shifted to Khaira Medical before being transferred to Bhadrak Medical.
The Kupari forest department, Upada forest department, Baleshwar DFO and Shimilipal tranquiliser team arrived at the scene and tried to take the situation under control. It took them 10 hours to rescue the leopard.
