Kendrapara, Nov 27: A heart-wrenching incident unfolded at Duhuria Chhak in Kendrapara district on Thursday when a couple from Chandanpur area under Baripada Police Station limits in Mayurbhanj district, who had come to Kendrapara for work, faced tragedy on their return journey.
After a few days of work, the couple boarded a bus to head home, but suddenly the husband suffered a fatal heart attack.
Shockingly, instead of offering help, the bus driver abandoned the deceased husband Bagharay Mardhi and his distraught wife Dulari Mardhi at Duhuria Chhak and drove away. With no relatives or assistance nearby, Dulari Mardi was left alone with her grief.
Humanity seemed to have hit rock bottom. Yet in the midst of this cruelty, some kind-hearted strangers stepped forward. With their help, Dulari Mardhi and her husband’s body were taken to Kendrapara District Headquarters Hospital.
