Bhubaneswar, Mar 16: As many as 14 important proposals belonging to seven departments were approved by the Odisha Cabinet today.
Today's State Cabinet meeting was the last one of Chief Minister Patnaik's fifth term of government as the code of conduct for Lok Sabha and State Assembly polls is scheduled to be enforced from today afternoon by the Election Commission of India.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik chaired the Cabinet meeting where 14 proposals were discussed and approved.
Two proposals worth Rs 1845.76 crore belonging to the Energy Department were approved. Six extra high-tension grids will be built at different places in the State. Similarly, seven lines will be upgraded from single circuits to double circuits. While the State government will provide 30 percent of the cost as equity, the OPTCL will meet the rest cost.

✨The Cabinet approved a proposal for the restructuring of Odisha Veterinary Service Cadre.
The Cabinet also approved the proposed construction project of Yadav Bhawan at Chandsekharpur in Bhubaneswar. Besides, a proposal for the construction of a high-level bridge over Mahanadi at Cuttack was approved by the Cabinet.
