Kandhamal, Sep 17: A massive landslide triggered by intense rainfall on Tuesday night devastated the Kalinga Ghat.

As a result, the major road connection between western Odisha and the coastal belt was snapped.

Following this, vehicular movement was completely halted, leaving hundreds of commuters stranded and disrupting the transportation of essential goods.

Authorities have begun mobilizing machinery to clear the debris, but officials warn that restoration may take time due to the scale of the damage and risk of additional landslides.
