Puri, Feb 4: Lakhs of devotees took dips in the holy waters of Chandrabhaga Sea near Konark on auspicious Magh Saptami early on Tuesday morning.
Dips started after Mahasnan (Grand Bath) of the Lords conducted at 4.37 am.
First, special pujas were performed to Lord Trivenishwara of Madhipur, Lord Aishaneshwara of Santpur and Lord Dakshineshwara of Kurujanga and then Mahasnan was conducted.
According to the decision, the three deities left their respective temples at 9: 45 pm and moved in a grand procession to reach Chandrabhaga on the sixth night of Magh Shukla.

✨It is believed that a dip in the holy waters at Chandrabhaga cures incurable diseases. Sadhus (saints) and the waiting devotees started taking holy deeps at 4.41 am.
The police made elaborate security arrangements. As many as 33 platoons of police force were deployed. Thirteen DSPs, 39 Inspectors and six Additional SPs took the lead. Lifeguards were deployed at the beach to avert any untoward incident.
