Jeypore, Nov 12: A gold chain of a woman was snatched by a couple of miscreants Tuesday in Jeypore, Koraput.
The woman, identified as Bijayalaxmi Rath, said that the chain weighs around 30 grams.
The incident happened near Maa Mangala Temple in Irrigation Colony in Jeypore. However, the nearby locals, reacting to the shouting of the victim, rushed to the spot and managed to capture one of the miscreants.
The other accused managed to flee from the scene with the chain. The locals have handed over the captured miscreant to the police.
