While the duty to bring glory to India rests on the shoulders of the javelin throwers duo, Jena's family and enthusiastic fans in Odisha are doing everything that they can to wish the athletics good luck and win medals.
Hundreds of people including Jena's mother conducted a 'special pooja' at Goddess Binjeswari temple in Kothasahi village (Kishore Jena's native place) under Brahmagiri block in Odisha's Puri district, seeking blessings for his victory in the Paris Olympics.

✨In the men's javelin throw event in the ongoing Paris Olympics, Jena is set to feature in Group A, while Neeraj is placed in Group B alongside Arshad in the qualification round, which will take place today.
"Preparation is very good, and we are getting a lot of support from here. It will be good. I will give my best tomorrow. I will play like a finalist. It is my first time, so I will give 100 per cent," Jena told reporters.
