Bhubaneswar, Feb 22: In a tragic mishap, three persons lost their lives after a car rammed into a truck from behind on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar late Friday night.

The devastating accident took place on National Highway 57 (NH 57) near Pitapalli Chowk, under the jurisdiction of the Info Valley Police Station, near Khordha.

As per the report, two persons died on the spot, while the third person was rushed to hospital in critical condition. However, he too breathed his last at the hospital, the report says further.

The deceased have been identified as Chetan Mishra, Biswaranjan Sethi and Prashant Pradhan.

The car, reportedly started its journey from Bhubaneswar, was heading towards Khordha when tragedy struck. Police reached the spot and launched an investigation into the matter.

After finding out about the identities of the deceased, police informed their family. The reason behind the accident is yet to be ascertained as investigation is still underway.
