Khordha, Dec 30: A pregnant woman died due to the doctor's negligence in Antarakiari village under the Balugaon police station limits of Khordha district late on Friday night.
The woman has been identified as Parbati Rout, wife of Debasish Rout.
"We had taken Parbati to Banapur Community Health Centre (CHC), the doctor-in-charge Ramakant Nayak suggested her to Kautsav Hospital (a private hospital) in Balugaon where he would operate on her by C-section. We obliged and admitted her in the private hospital, but the doctor did not come on time and the staff injected her, resulting in her death", said a family member.
According to sources, the couple had married a year ago.

The family members created a scene in the hospital after Parbati's death blaming the doctor for his lack of punctuality and negligence in attending patients.
Police reached the hospital and started an investigation into the matter.
