Khalistani Terrorist Pannun Threatens To Disrupt 'Pravasi Bharatiya Divas' In Bhubaneswar

Key Points

The 'Pravasi Bharatiya Divas' celebrations are scheduled to commence January 8 and conclude January 10

Notably, Pannun had threatened to attack the DGP-IGP Conference, which took place in Bhubaneswar November 30-December 1 last year

Bhubaneswar, Dec 3: After the DGP-IGP Conference, Pro-Khalistani separist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has now issued a video message threatening to disrupt the upcoming 'Pravasi Bharatiya Divas' celebrations in Bhubaneswar.

The 'Pravasi Bharatiya Divas' celebrations are scheduled to commence January 8 and conclude January 10. Odisha is hosting the event for the first time.

Reports say that Pannun has sent a video message to Odisha journalist Akshay Sahoo via an email. The message warned against holding the event, just like his previous message, which targetted the All India DGP-IGP Conference.

"This event, masquerading as a cultural celebration, is being used as a platform to further India’s agenda of espionage and targeted violence against Pro Khalistan Sikhs," said Pannun in a statement.

Notably, Pannun had threatened to attack the DGP-IGP Conference, which took place in Bhubaneswar November 30-December 1 last year. In his message, he had asked Khalistani, Naxals, Maoists, and Kashmiris to target the conference, which was held at the Lok Seva Bhawan.

The Pro-Khalistani separist had even announced a cash reward of Rs 25 lakh for people who would raise the Khalistani flag in Bhubaneswar during the event.
