Keonjhar: Residents Demand Getting Back Stolen Idol Of Baba Chandrasekhar
Keonjhar, Jan 17: The residents of Ghasipur village under Anandpur police station limits in Keonjhar district on Wednesday protested, demanding the administration to find out the stolen idol of their revered baba Chandrasekhar.
According to the sources, the idol was stolen in 2022 by burglars who broke open the lock of the temple doors and stole the idol from the sanctum sanctorum.
In a similar case of burglary, Maa Kotrakhi of Darpangada in Jajpur district was also stolen. With the efforts of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan the idol was returned to the temple after it was seized by the customs department from Delhi Airport while being smuggled to Hong Kong.
