Kartika Brata Holds Special Significance
Kartika Brata is observed during the auspicious Hindu month of Kartika and holds deep religious and cultural significance in Odisha. Puri attracts devotees who undertake the month-long observance through prayers, early-morning rituals and worship of Lord Jagannath.

The annual Habishyali camps enable women observing the Brata to stay in Puri and participate in religious activities while receiving accommodation, food and transport support from the administration.
