Nabarangpur, Aug 12: In a tragic mishap, a man and his wife died on spot after being hit by truck near Rabanaguda Chhak under Kundhei police station limits in Nabarangpur district, Monday morning.

However, their minor son had a narrow escape in this incident.

According to the information, Couple along with their son were returning home after pouring water on Lord Shiva in the holy month of Sharavan when a truck hit the bike from behind and both of them fell on the road and were crushed to death on the spot. 

The Deceased Couple has been identified as Ajit Majumdar and Deepika Majumdar.

On being informed, Police reached the spot and started an investigation.

Tension prevailed in the area after the demise of the couple.
