Kandhamal: Performing Bike Stunt Proves Costly, 1 Dead And 1 Critically Injured

Tumudibandha, June 27: One died, while one critically injured after a bike stunt went wrong in Tumudibandh of Kandhamal district.

Reportedly, a youth was performing bike stunts in a speedy KTM bike (OD 02CT 9709) near Netaji Subash Chandra Bose Junior College in Tumudibandha. However he lost balance and hit an ambulance, which was coming from opposite direction.

The ambulance, holding a number plate of OD 08K 5373, was on its way to Nayagarh from Bhawanipatna. After being hit by the bike, the private ambulance lost its balance and hit another nearby bike (OD 02 CB 4554) resulting a tragic mishap.

The critically injured person has been identified as Gajapati Sahu from Nuamunda village under Tumudibandha Police Station limits. 

The other bike driver, identified as Janak Patra (20) was taken to the Community Health Centre (CHC), where the doctor declared him dead.
