Kandhamal, Mar 27: A 15-year-old boy was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his house in Kendupadar Sahi in Kandhamal district Wednesday night.

The victim, Abhijit Bagarti, was found hanging from the ceiling of the fan.

According to reports, the matter came to light after deceased mother alerted the police and lodged a complaint against victim's father, Promod Bagarti.

Taking note of the report, police reached the spot and lunched a probe into the incident. The body was seized and sent to a nearby hospital for post-mortem.

Reportedly, the Town Police have detained Promod and are investigating the case thoroughly, while awaiting post-mortem results for confirmation of the cause of death.
