Sambalpur, Apr 27: In a major jolt to the Sambalpur unit of the BJD, two leaders Motilal Tanty and Er. Reena Tanty quit the party today.
Reena was a BJD candidate for the Rengali Assembly seat in the 2019 elections. Till today, she was the State senior vice president, Biju Mahila Janata Dal.
Motilal was president of the BJD SC Cell.

✨Both Motilal and Reena resigned from the primary membership of the Biju Janata Dal, citing negligence. They sent their resignation letters to BJD state president and chief minister Naveen Patnaik.
According to political pundits, the Biju Janata Dal weakened further in Sambalpur after the resignation of Motilal and Reena. A few days back, former Sambalpur MLA and social worker Dr Rasheswari Debi along with hundreds of followers quit the BJD.
