Bhubaneswar, Aug 18: Jhingia Oram, wife of Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, passed away Saturday night. She was 58.
Jhingia Oram was suffering from dengue and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital here for the last seven days. However, she succumbed to the disease at around 11 pm Saturday.
Following her demise, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi along with BJP leaders, ministers as well as some well-known personalities visited Oram's residence at Lumbini Vihar in the Capital City and paid last respect to the deceased.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has also condoled the demise of Jhingia Oram. "I am saddened to hear the news of the untimely demise of Jingia Oram, wife of our party's senior leader and Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram. I have received a lot of affection from Jual Bhai's family members while going to his home for many social and political events," wrote Pradhan on his 'X' handle.

✨"As a family member, I am saddened by the untimely demise of a pious woman like Mrs. Jingia. May the immortal soul rest in peace. Condolence to the bereaved family. May the Lord give patience and courage to the family in this time of sorrow," he wrote further, concluding his message with "Om Shanti."
Reportedly, Oram was accompanied by his sister, sister in law and two daughters at his residence during this tough time.
Later in the night, Jhingia Oram's mortal remains has been taken to Kendudihi village in Sundargarh district, where her list rite rituals will be conducted.
