Jharsuguda, Mar 5: Normal life was disrupted in Laikera area of Jharsuguda district in Odisha on Tuesday due to the 12- hour bandh called by sub-divisional action committee demanding sub-division status for Laikera.

Holding placards and banners, the agitators staged demonstrations at different places in the town to press their demand.
Normal life and vehicular moments have been disrupted due to the bandh.

Support from farmers, traders, athletics and various organizations are there for sub-division status for Laikera. 

Sub-divisional action committee threaten to boycott Elections 2024 if their demands are not met.
